Database Assistant for Development and Admissions

Catholic Theological Union (CTU) seeks a team player to join advancement efforts for a leading graduate school of theology and ministry in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago.  The Database Assistant serves as multi-dimensioned support to both the Admissions and Development Departments.  Administrative support includes standard clerical tasks, including the use of Microseft Office and database software, data entry and details of office management.  The primary function will be Data Management using two separate database systems.

Administrative Assistant and Programs Coordinator

 

Catholic Theological Union (CTU), a graduate school of theology and ministry in the Hyde Park (U of C) neighborhood of Chicago seeks an Administrative Assistant and Programs Coordinator (Assistant). The Assistant supports the Directors of the Bernardin Center and the Center for the Study of Consecrated Life (Centers) in the organization and management of the Centers and has significant responsibility for the planning, coordination and implementation of the events, programs and activities of the Centers. These Centers encompass various specific programs such as Catholic-Jewish Studies, Catholic-Muslim Studies, Reconciliation, Life Ethics, Catholics on Call, Catholic Common Ground Initiative and fulfills initiatives related to consecrated religious life.  

 

Candidates must hold a Bachelors Degree and have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in technology and administration and must work well with minimal supervision. Qualified candidates will also have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, as well as demonstrated computer proficiency with office productivity software and desktop publishing and other database programs. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and balance a multi-faceted work load.  Candidates should be creative, possess strong organizational and problem solving skills. Duties include designing and creating worship aids, brochures and promotional materials for programs and events in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications department, coordinating inquiries for Bernardin scholarships with the Admissions Office, maintaining scholars’ files, assist in coordinating scholars’ orientation and colloquia.
